My favourie event took place on the june july holidays. My family and i took a trip out of Australia to New Zeland. We stayed in a great appartment in Queenstown. Our appartment was right on the side of the river. Queenstown is a beautiful place with huge mountains with snow on the top of the peeks. On the third day of being in New Zeland my family and i went to the snow fields. My mum and i wernt so good at skiing but we gave it a go. After having one of the worst experiences of my life with the skies on top of a snow mountain my mum and i decided to give the skiing a quite. My dad and my little brother loved it and both were skiing all day. I was so realived when the day was over and i was back in the warm appartment.
One of the best things that i did at New Zeland was going on the shotover jet. This is a jet boat that speeds along the water rushing so close to the cliffs edges and around sharp bends. The tempreture was below 0 so you could imagine how cold the water was when it splashed up onto me.
This trip was the first time i have been out of Australia and it was a great experience.
